Saving and loading settings presets.

This page explains how to save your settings as presets and recall them later for consistent results.
What are Presets?
Presets are saved configurations that store:
- Selected algorithm and style.
- All algorithm-specific parameters.
- Adjustments (brightness, contrast, saturation, etc.).
- Palette selection.
- Gradient map settings.
- Canvas size (width and height).
Presets do not store:
- Loaded content (images, videos, or 3D models).
- Export settings.
Creating a Preset
Configure your desired settings:
- Choose an algorithm and style.
- Adjust parameters in Settings and Adjustments sections.
- Select a palette.
Open the Presets section in the Settings panel.
Click Save Preset or the preset menu button.
Enter a descriptive name for your preset.
Click Save.
The preset now appears in your presets list.
Loading a Preset
Open the Presets section.
Find the preset you want to load in the list.
Click on the preset name.
All settings from the preset are applied immediately.
Managing Presets
Deleting a Preset
- In the Presets section, hover over a preset.
- Click the delete button (x icon).
- Confirm deletion.
Renaming a Preset
- Currently, presets cannot be renamed. To rename, create a new preset with the desired name and delete the old one.
Organizing Presets:
- Presets are listed in creation order.
- Use descriptive names for easy identification (e.g., "Retro CRT Blue", "High Contrast Bayer", "ASCII Duotone Warm").
Practical Examples
Creating a Style Library
- Experiment with different settings for various looks.
- Save each as a preset with a clear name.
- Quickly switch between styles by loading different presets.
Tips
- Save a preset before experimenting with major changes so you can easily return to a known good state.
- Create presets for common tasks (e.g., Instagram square format, YouTube thumbnail style).
- Use descriptive names that indicate algorithm, palette, or intended use.
- Regularly review and delete unused presets to keep the list manageable.
Troubleshooting
Q: My preset doesn't appear after saving.
A: Ensure you entered a valid name and clicked Save. Check the Presets section list.
Q: Loading a preset changes my canvas size.
A: Yes, presets include canvas size. If you want to keep current size, note it before loading and adjust after.
Q: Can I export presets to another computer?
A: Preset export is not currently available.
