3D Controls and Navigation
How to navigate and control 3D scenes.

This page explains how to navigate 3D scenes using mouse, keyboard, and on-screen controls.
Mouse Controls
Orbit
- Left-click and drag to rotate the camera around the scene.
- The camera orbits around the current focus point.
Pan
- Right-click and drag to pan the view.
- Shifts the camera and focus point together.
Zoom
- Use Ctrl + Mouse Scroll to zoom in and out.
- Zooming moves the camera closer or farther from the focus point.
On-Screen Controls
3D Controls Panel
When working with 3D content, the 3D Controls panel appears with options for:
- Camera position presets.
- Reset camera to default position.
- Animation playback controls (if the 3D model has animations).
Zoom Controls
- Use the zoom controls in the interface to zoom in (+) and out (-).
- Reset zoom button returns to default zoom level.
Working with 3D Models
Loading a model
- Drag and drop a 3D model file (GLTF, GLB, OBJ, FBX) onto the viewport.
- The model appears at the scene origin with default lighting.
Viewing animations
- If the model contains animations, they appear in the 3D Controls panel.
- Select an animation and use playback controls.
- Animations loop by default when exporting 3D to video.
Adjusting appearance
- Select algorithms from the Mode dropdown to apply visual effects to the 3D scene.
- Effects are rendered in real time as you rotate and navigate.
Tips
- Use camera presets for consistent angles when comparing settings.
- Reset the camera if you lose orientation in the scene.
