# Export FAQ

Common questions about exporting images and videos.

## Short Summary

This page answers frequently asked questions about exporting your work.

## Image Export

Q: What image formats are supported?
A: PNG (lossless), JPEG (lossy), and WebP (modern format). Choose PNG for highest quality.

Q: How do I set export dimensions?
A: Adjust Width and Height in the Settings panel before exporting. The export uses these workspace dimensions.

Q: Why does my export look different from the preview?
A: Ensure you are viewing the "After" mode in Compare view. The "Before" or "Split" modes show the original, but export always uses the processed version.

Q: How do I export with transparency?
A: Use PNG format, which supports transparency. JPEG does not support transparency. If there is a transparency option in the mode settings, please make sure it is enabled.

## Video Export

Q: What video codecs are available?
A: Four export options:

- H.264 (MP4): Universal compatibility, adjustable quality (High/Medium/Standard).
- Lossless (MOV): Perfect quality, large file size.
- Animated GIF: Looping animation with perfect colors, limited to 256 colors per frame.
- PNG Sequence: Exports frames as individual PNG images in a ZIP file.

Q: How long does video export take?
A: Export time depends on video length, resolution, selected algorithm complexity, and codec. H.264 High quality takes longer than Standard. Lossless and PNG Sequence are fastest to encode.

Q: Can I export only part of a video?
A: Currently, the full video duration is exported. Use video editing software to trim if needed.

## 3D Export

Q: Can I export 3D scenes as images?
A: Yes. In the 3D Export Settings panel, choose "Image" as export type and select PNG, JPEG, or WebP.

Q: Can I export 3D scenes as video?
A: Yes. If the 3D model has animations, you can export as video. Set duration, FPS, and codec in the export panel. Enable Loop to repeat the animation for the specified duration.

Q: What if my 3D model has no animations?
A: The export panel defaults to Image mode. You can manually animate the camera and export a rotating view if needed.

## General Export Issues

Q: Export fails immediately.
A: Check that output path is writable and the filename contains no invalid characters.

Q: Files are too large.
A: For images, use JPEG or WebP instead of PNG. For video, use H.264 Standard quality or reduce resolution in workspace settings.

Q: Colors look washed out after export.
A: Check brightness and contrast settings in the Adjustments section. Ensure you are not applying excessive bloom or other effects.
